Who can be married at Community Church?
We value relationships of all types here, and you do not have to be a member of Community Church. We are completely open to destination wedding parties, providing that Florida licenses are obtained and proof of pre-marital counseling is provided.
What are the church's wedding fees?
We have no hidden costs and fees are listed.
Terms and Conditions:
Wedding fees must be paid in advance, always include our Wedding Coordinator, and Sound Coordinator and can include the Community Church Pastor (see fee schedule above). Payments for musicians and other officiants are outside this fee structure. Note that the wedding date is not reserved until a check for $300 is given to the church office.
The 2022 fees for a wedding at Community Church are :
- Wedding & rehearsal (includes pastor and marriage counseling) $600 (Sanctuary rental, up to 3 hours) + $300 Pastor fee = $900 Additional hours billed at $150/hour.
- Wedding & rehearsal with your own Minister $600 (Sanctuary rental, up to 3 hours) =
$600 Additional hours billed at $150/hour.
How do I hold my wedding date and get more information?
To lock in your date, please complete the online wedding application and submit. Feel free to email the Event Coordinator at welcomecommunity@comcast.net or call at 954.776.5530 if you
have any questions.
Is there a wedding contract that I need to complete?
Fill out the Letter of Agreement online, print and mail to the church with your deposit check or drop the Letter of Agreement and check off at the church office during normal business hours.

What is the parking situation at the church?
We have free parking for about 90 vehicles onsite and there is paid parking for about 150 more adjacent to the church.
Facility Rental Rates
Community Church of Lauderdale‑by‑the‑Sea offers beautiful spaces for weddings, celebrations, meetings, and community events. Below are the standard rental rates and additional fees.
Facility Rental
- Church Sanctuary – $600 (up to 3 hours) $150 each additional hour
- Fellowship Hall – $300 (up to 3 hours) • $125 each additional hour
- Upstairs Class/Meeting Room – $200 (up to 3 hours) • $100 each additional hour
Additional Fees
- Security Deposit: $200 (refundable upon satisfactory condition of facility)
- Host Fee: $100 flat (church host to open/close and oversee event)
- Set Up/Break Down Fee: $100 (only if room/tables/chairs require changes)
- Church Pianist (if requested): $300 flat fee
- Sound System Operator (sanctuary): $75 flat fee
- Pastor for Weddings: $300 flat fee (already included in package if using church pastor)
Notes
- All rates include setup and breakdown time.
- Fees for existing church members remain negotiable.
- Cancellation policy: 50% refund if cancelled at least 48 hours prior; no refund within 48 hours of event.
- Facility rules regarding decorations, conduct, and equipment use apply to all rentals.

How can I access your food pantry or receive assistance?
Our food pantry is open to anyone in need on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:30 to 4:30. Just bring a valid ID, ome to the back of the church by the french doors.
